Gleaming, fully equipped kitchens are found within each of the villas at Piet Boon Bonaire, giving guests the flexibility to prepare meals with local produce whenever it suits them. Supersized fridges, teppanyaki plates and high-end BBQs make it easy to create tasty dishes using top-quality island ingredients, including local goat’s cheese and freshly caught fish.
However guests who’d rather not cook can call upon Piet Boon Bonaire’s private chefs, who are experts at fusing local and international flavors.
Meet Chef Dhanesh, Born and raised at the island of Curacao and yet 17 he couldn’t wait to move over to the fast moving lifestyle in the Netherlands for his next steps in study and work. In the following eight years he was trained and educated at fine dining restaurants such as De Beukenhof en Restaurant Niven and his travels around and about Europe gave him more understanding of the various flavors from Italy, France and Spain. In 2013 he returned home, more seasoned and ready for the next chapter: a junior sous chef position in the famous Avila Beach hotel. In 2016 he took up the challenge being the opening chef in the Marriott hotel on Bonaire.
Bonaire it is! 2018 was the year to start his entrepreneurial adventure based on training, culinary support and private catering and dining. We can truly recommend Chef Dhanesh.
